New every morning

God's mercies are new every morning. Amazing how sleep can renew me. Amazing how twelve hours of sleep can renew the kids!! I wish I would have gone to bed earlier instead of watching David Letterman... Oh well. This morning I want to focus and get all the housework done so Mike can come home from his exam to a clean house.

I went to a Pampered Chef party last night. My teaching partner had invited her friends from high school and some neighbours. It was fun, but sort of weird not knowing anybody. It's good for me to step out of my comfort zone sometimes. I bought some cool things and then actually booked a party for January. I thought it might be fun. I left early and dropped in on our care group. What I sensed was immediate comfort and the presence of Christ.... It felt like coming home after being with people who talked and focused on the present life. It was amazing to me to feel the difference. I remember that feeling once before when I had been at a school function and left to go to our church picnic. The presence of Christ makes such a difference. I shouldn't be surprised. My prayer today is that the presence of Christ in my life is visible to those around me.

Now..... onwards to a clean house!!!!
