We're ba-ack!!!

We arrived home late yesterday afternoon. What a great vacation! It was worth every penny. People told me Disneyland was a great family vacation but I was a bit skeptical...I couldn't really imagine 5 days in one place. It was the perfect amount of time. After 4 days, we had seen everything so on the fifth day we went on our favourite rides and caught some shows we missed. We spent a day in San Diego at SeaWorld. That was really cool. The whale and dolphin shows are over the top!!! The neatest thing was the glass tunnel where the sharks swim above and around you while you move through on a moving sidewalk....very eerie!
We also had an extra day in Anaheim so we went to Downtown Disney for a bit of shopping and took the kids to Goofy's Kitchen for a treat. It was worth it. A lot of characters came right to our table and because it wasn't too busy they stayed a long time. Dale (the chipmunk) sat with us for about 15 minutes chatting (they don't talk so he wrote on the paper tablecloth!) We got some great photos.

The weather wasn't hot and sunny (except for a few afternoons) but it was perfect for us. Just a little rain and a lot of overcast. The Californians are so funny....because they aren't used to rain, they treat it like a snow storm. The traffic reports were warning commuters about the showers during the afternoon commute!

Anyway, it's nice to be home. I was getting sick of restaurant food and hotel beds! We have lots of great memories for sure. The girls were so wide eyed, taking it all in. Our oldest wanted to go on every ride - no fear at all! Our youngest surprised us by being willing to go on most rides and ended up loving Pirates of the Carribean! She also loved the Sun Wheel at California Adventure.

Now, it's back to routine...I can't believe it's Easter weekend....I'm all out of sync!

Glad you're back safe and sound and that the trip was good. It sounds awesome! I hope we can go some day soon. Sorry that you had to pay such a big bill on your car! It isn't what you want when you are on vacation. I remember once, Graeme had to rebuild... I can't remember what it was, but we were camping in Manning Park and he ended up having to use dental floss to help in the process of putting the car back together so we could get out of the Park! Anyway, that's a long story... we'll see you on Sunday!
