Summer...sweet summertime

It's officially summer. I have a couple more teaching days, but for all intents and purposes, I'm on holiday. Summer is always the time I devote to "projects". I start the summer with a list. I always overestimate how much I can get done, but it's fun to dream. Here's my list this summer:

  • paint the white trim in our house - banisters, door frames etc...
  • patch up the little knicks in our walls, repaint
  • wipe out and reorganize kitchen cupboards
  • garage sale - get rid of a bunch of stuff in our crawl space!
  • paint our garage floor with that nice looking garage floor paint
  • reorganize master bedroom closet
  • get up to date on my scrapbooking
  • finish Chelsea's cross stitch
  • get our home videos transferred to DVD
  • go through the kids' toys and reorganize

Well, that's the start of my list. I also have some financial housecleaning we need to do...boring stuff. I'm excited to have time for my projects. Of course, my biggest project is my family. It will be so good to have a little extra time to devote to being a wife and mother.
