Well, today was "testing day" at boot camp. It's been a month since I began this fitness journey and I am quite happy with the results. First the bad news....I only lost 2 pounds. BUT, I lost 14 inches total. That was amazing to me.
The thing I'm most proud of is my cardio. At the beginning I could barely run one lap around a regular track. This morning I ran 3km and only stopped to power walk a little.
I did 11 more situps in a minute than I did a month ago.
I'm excited to do this again in August. The results are very motivating for me. I think the thing that makes me want to continue the most is my increased energy level. Even though I'm getting up an hour earlier each day, I'm not feeling that afternoon fatigue anymore. Oh, I'm ready for bed earlier but that's OK.
Now I'm off to a different kind of workout.... the cleaning bathrooms, laundry and vaccuuming variety.....hey, it all counts!!
