Well, I survived another Halloween at school. I went as a scarecrow which was a great costume. It was pretty comfy except for the raffia sticking out everywhere. My kids were all pretty good and there were some really funny costumes.
Unfortunately I couldn't be at school with my kids today. Funny, I thought Chelsea would be the one needed comforting. She doesn't even like to go by the Halloween displays in the department stores. She was fine.
When I got home, Maddie told me she started crying during the assembly because some kids had scary masks on. Her teacher took her aside and comforted her. Then she held her hand throughout the entire costume parade, talking her through it!! Poor kid. I think it's sweet that she still has a sensitivity towards scary things. She talks it up, but inside she's really quite "young" in many ways. I'm glad.
Well, we're going to eat some veggie lasagna now and then I'll send them out with Dad to hit the neighbourhood. Trick or Treat!!
