Valentine Popcorn

Here's a great recipe I came across while trying to come up with something creative to send for my kids' valentines parties at school. I threw some cinnamon hearts into the mix too.

Jello Flavoured Popcorn

2 sticks butter
2 cups sugar
1/2 c. dark corn syrup (I used Rogers Golden)
4 Tbsp. Jello (you can use any flavour. I used raspberry to make pink)
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
16 cups popped popcorn

Melt butter. Add sugar and syrup and melt. Boil 2 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in Jello, soda, and vanilla. Pour over popcorn.

Bake at 250 degrees for 15 minutes. Stir and bake another 15 minutes. Remove from oven and break apart. Cool in clean bowls or pans.

You could adjust the jello flavour (colour) for any holiday.
