This week I am covering for my teaching partner so I'm working 5 days straight....something I haven't done in a long time.

I love...
socializing in the staff room
teaching my grade 2s
planning art projects
watching them improve
seeing the pride in their eyes when they know they've done well
teaching a tricky math concept
class discussions when they are hanging on my every word....so cute!
singing goofy songs about igneous and sedimentary rocks

I hate....
leaving home when my kids are still asleep
not seeing them to their classrooms in the morning
not picking them up after school
missing the walk home as they tell me about their day
how short our time together in the evening is
saying that we'll have to wait for the weekend
being rushed to make dinner
