Oklahoma!

I thought I would rejoin the world of blogging, now that we are on vacation and I have a few moments while everyone is still waking up. We have arrived in Tulsa after a full day of travel. We are here for my niece's wedding tomorrow.

Our trip was good. We are rookies when it comes to flying. The last time we flew was 2 years ago on our trip to Disneyland. In Seattle the check in is self serve, so you have to figure out how to use the terminals. That was a little intimidating with a huge line up behind us! Anyhow, we got checked in and our luggage checked in. Then, in security, I was carrying on a wedding gift for my niece (a backpack picnic set). I forgot it had knives and a corkscrew in it! Needless to say, I now need to go to Wal Mart (right next door to us) and replace those things! Fortunately, the guy at security didn't take the forks too. Maddie was astonished and said, "But Mom, YOU wouldn't use those as weapons!"

When we got to Chicago, the P.A. system kept repeating that Homeland Security had raised the security level to orange. That's really comforting when you're in transit!

This was the first time Chelsea has really been old enough to pay attention to the safety speech at the beginning of the flight. She looked at me with a concerned look and said, "Do we HAVE to wear those masks?"

When we got to Tulsa we got all our baggage except for Maddie's. Fortunately, it arrived at our hotel a few hours later. Good thing it was easily identifiable. It was likely the only Barbie Rapunzel bag on the flight.

The girls are up now so I should go and get them organized. So long for now, from Oklahoma.
