Snow Days and Sick Days

New hat for the snow!

So, 3 out of 4 of us are home sick today. My cold from before Christmas came back to haunt me with a vengeance! Unfortunately this time the bug got around and Mike and Maddie are both home sick today. Chelsea is the only one well enough to be out and about today so she is at school while the rest of us recuperate

We've really been enjoying the snow and sun these days. It's such unusual weather for us here and it's so much fun. It reminds me of my childhood in Rossland. Apparently yesterday was the first day of full sun we've had since Halloween...no wonder it feels good to us!

Maddie is 8 this week. I can't believe she is that old! Yikes! We are having family over on Saturday to celebrate and then she is celebrating again next weekend with her classmates at Jungle Jac's .....a kind of Crash Crawlie type place in Pitt Meadows. It's the first time we've done a party at a venue other than home, but with me working, it seemed like a more feasible option this year. She is very excited about the events of the week.
