Rain, Rain, Go Away....

I'm a little tired of the rain. Give me heat and sun...I'll cope with the warm house, but not this constant rain. The constant dripping off the eaves is getting on my nerves this evening. Our grass is getting overgrown because it hasn't been dry enough to cut and my poor petunias are all dripping and floppy. Good thing the kids and I were busy at VBS every morning last week. It got us out of the house and kept us busy and dry. Our afternoons were spent at the indoor pool or I'm afraid, watching TV and movies. I hate having the TV on in the summer but it was just that kind of week. We bought Mike a reclining chair for the patio for his birthday but he hasn't even been able to use it yet. The girls and I set it up inside so he could at least try it out. We also spent one afternoon at Ikea. I did some "window" shopping while the girls played in the playplace. I bought them each a cinnamon bun for a dollar each and they were really excited about the whole event. Talk about a cheap outing!

Tonight Mike took Chelsea to a women's Whitecaps game. Maddie and I had fun going out to eat, cruising Art Knapps and then off to Starbucks for a latte and a steamed milk. So, I guess we're making the best of the weather, but I'd really rather be out riding bikes or hitting the beach. Oh well, the rain can't last forever. I'm going to do a sun dance before I go to bed.

I am ready for the rain to leave too!
A day (or maybe 2) is a nice change and a chance to cool off, but this is to long!

on the other hand...rain is so condusive to naps and early bedtimes for the little ones :)

I agree, though - even rain, already!

Rumor has it your sun has emerged from the depths. Could it possibly be true? I hope so! If not, I'll try and bring some home with me shortly.

Thanks for your comments. It's been fun to be "sort of" connected to home!
