Oh yeah - I felt like a real loser today. I forgot to cancel my sub, mainly because I was in such a blur last week and I really haven't booked a sub working part time before. It completely slipped my mind. Anyhow, the secretary, being the dramatist she is, was telling me I had to go home immediately, take a day off because my sub was coming. I called the board office and pleaded my case but they had already dispatched her. My administrator (who has moved up in my estimation several notches today) put me at ease and said, "Don't worry - it happens...we'll soak up the cost and use her for teachers to have some time to assess, write report cards etc...
Wow, it feels good to be shown grace. Praise the Lord! Had he not been so kind, I would have had to pay her 1/2 days wage. Our secretary said, Yeah, I told him he'd be an a__hole to make you pay! She's so funny!
