Sick

I'm home sick today. I think it's the first sick day I've taken in a couple years. Only working part time I usually go in and survive. I started to have this headache at the baby shower I was at. It magnified and magnified until I really couldn't bear it. I took a tylenol, went to bed and started feeling really nauseous. After much throwing up, I decided I'd better call a sub. I slept soundly and today, I'm feeling better - just a little weak. I think I'll be Ok by tomorrow which is good, since we have a field trip. Maybe it's a "blessing in disguise" (that's a funny little cliche, isn't it?) It's giving me a day to catch up on some sleep and just "be". My kids are being taken care of as if I'm at work, so it's just me and the dog here. I'm going to crawl back into bed and do some reading. I took out "The Blessing" by Trent and Smalley at Church yesterday.. a nice, new crisp book. It's the revised and updated version, so I'll have a chance to read it now.
