Good News

With Christmas came the welcome news that my father in law's bone marrow is completely normal. What a relief we all feel. He still has some tests to get through including a cat scan to figure out why his abdominal organs are enlarged, but for now we are praising God. Everyone's spirits seemed lifted at our family gathering. The laughter was genuine and the smiles were not forced. What a great Christmas gift.

Christmas Eve was magical. The church service went off wonderfully. Our children's feature went really well and the kids' choir was so cute. Pastor Doug had my kids mesmerized with his story.

Christmas morning brought with it many excited squeals as the kids found their Santa gifts. Maddie was thrilled with her polar bear Luv Cub and Chelsea with her Fairytopia Barbie. We had a nice time at Grandma and Grandpa's. What a great turkey dinner. We enjoyed it again for lunch today.

We are having such a lazy Boxing Day....just vegging and enjoying our new "toys". Mike's parents bought the girls buddha boards. Our girls love drawing and this is a very cool board you can paint on with water. The image gradually disappears. No mess, no paper. Actually, we're having more fun with it than them right now! Mike bought me the entire season 3 of Seinfeld on DVD, so we've had a few good laughs.

Heather, thanks so much for sharing your good news about your FIL!! So glad to hear it!

Glad the kids enjoyed their gifts. I had a good time doing the kids program with you too, and I also loved the Christmas Eve service. We have one of those water things with a water pen at work - very cool. :) Glad to hear you guys are having a nice weekend!

T's sister arrived and the rest of the entourage gets here tomorrow, so the fun is just beginning! We went to the 3D IMAX version of the Polar Express Saturday and it was so AWESOME! I think your girls would love it (as long as the 3D didn't freak them out) and I know you would love it! Well worth the money in my opinion (maybe you've already been)!

Talk to you later! :) Hi to the gorilla. LOL Have a great week.
