Today the girls and I had a fun day. We did two very cool things....we took the bus and went to the library. I loved it. It felt so very "urban" to take public transit and visit our local library. We are a one car family for a while as Mike's car was smucked on the commute home the other day. I was impressed with our new little community shuttle. It picked us up just a block from home and delivered us to the bus stop just outside the library. We enrolled in the summer reading program and spent some time checking out books. Then we walked through town a little, had a Starbucks (well I did) and caught the bus home. The whole adventure only cost us $3.75 - yes, my coffee was free courtesy of one of my wonderful students....I think I got 5 Starbucks cards this year!!!
Today was also my first day of Boot Camp. It felt really good to be up and exercising early in the morning. The humiliating part is over now - where the trainer takes all your measurements and determines your body fat! I am excited to see it change by the end of the month. It's nice that my friend and I are at the same fitness level. It was good to have company at the end of the cardio route today!! I have stuck to the menu today and drank all my water. My energy level is way up so that's great.....How sore I will be tomorrow remains to be seen!
