Movies

Yesterday I took the girls to see Madagascar. We don't go to the movies too often, but it was a really rainy day and we needed something fun to do. I was so excited to see two upcoming movies during the preview time. They are both classics from my childhood. Next week, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is coming to the big screen starring Johnny Depp. I loved that story as a child. I can still feel the excitement when Charlie found the golden ticket. Coming out at Christmas, is The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe!! Be sure to check out the teaser trailer. go to the production room and click on the TV. I think the casting is wonderful. The children look like I would have imagined them. I just get the goosebumps when I see that trailer. You can also check out narnia.com. Both of those books at a time in my childhood when reality and fantasy sometimes blurred. I used to imagine that I might find a golden ticket in a chocolate bar and be able to visit a chocolate factory or that somehow a closet in my house might lead to a secret land like Narnia. That's what is so magical about reading (or listening) to those stories as a child. There is still a possibility in a young mind that those stories could be true.
