After any new experience, my girls "play it out". I guess it's a normal childhood ritual. I remember doing the same thing. In the past they've played dentist, doctor, hairdresser, school, piano lessons, vet, Sunday School....you name it, they've acted it out in their imaginative play way. Many afternoons have gone by with the playroom door closed. When I go up to see what's happening, they are deeply involved in their play, which usually involves the room being completely rearranged. Today they came down asking if I knew where the bandanas were. I helped them find some and pretty soon I was tying them onto their groovy girls heads. "Mom, we need to get some more black groovy girls", Maddie insists. Next, they needed the African Children's Choir CD....you can guess what they were playing! Here's a photo of how I found the dolls after the girls had gone to bed!

Hey Heather... say, where do you buy Groovey Girls...? My kids are driving me nuts, they played with Alyssa's and now want their own! Sheesh!
They are harder to come by now. I know they have them at The Newport Village Toy Shop. That's probably the closest. They used to have them at Christie's Cottage but I don't know if they still stock them. The big stores don't seem to carry them here. I saw them at Target in the States though.
