Countdown to Camp

Starting Saturday I will need prayer. Maddie is old enough to go to Adventure Camp at Pioneer Pacific. It's a camp I've been going to or volunteering at for years now. Of course, I couldn't just send my little seven year old, so I dove right in and said I'd be a cabin leader....her cabin leader. I haven't done this since I was in my early 20s. I recall it being tiring then!! I keep telling myself that now that I'm a parent, it won't be that tiring....I've built up stamina over the years. I still think I'll be exhausted keeping up with 6-8 little girls all day. The camp itself will be a blast...it always is. We have a great team of people and the theme this year is Narnia. A lot of thought and creativity has already gone into it, so I'm sure the girls will have a great time. Because I'm a cabin leader, Chelsea will be able to tag along with us and sleep in our cabin. Lis (the director) assures me she has great junior leaders for me. That's good, because I think I'll be pulling up the rear as we trek across the beautiful grounds from one activity to the next!
