Yesterday we celebrated flag day at school...the anniversary of the unveiling of the Maple Leaf Canadian flag. We got together with our multi age groups to do a song and a craft. It was also the day the grade 1s were having a puppet presentation about Autism, since one of our grade 1s has autism.
I guess it's just too much activity to keep track of in a six year old brain. One of the grade 1 girls said, " I'm having a lot of fun painting this Maple Leaf flag, but I thought we were going to learn about why M. is so weird." (referring to her classmate with autism)!! Hopefully she learned a more tactful way to describe her classmate's behaviour at the presentation later that day!

I love it!! I still haven't found better ways to describe things! That's hilarious!
