Back to School

Mike was able to take Monday off so he could walk the girls to their first day with their new teachers for the year. I think I have a similar photo from last year here. They are in grades 3 and 2 now. It's funny because I have a grade 2/3 class this year. They are settling in and seem very content now in their new class situations. Maddie has a male teacher for the first time. He has taught primary for 10 years and has two little girls of his own. Chelsea has an experienced teacher who has taught Montessori for many years. She told me this morning that this is one of the nicest groups of kids she's had for a long time. Not only nice to teach, but really nice to each other.

My week has been super hectic trying to get everything and everyone organized for another school year. My own class is very nice. We kept some children from last year so it makes the transition into routines so much smoother. Today I have a huge list of errands, so I'd better get at it!!
