The soccer season has begun. Chelsea loves soccer and never complains about playing in the rain, sleet or even snow once last year! She is a force to reckon with on defense, despite her small stature! Maddie is trying soccer out this year. She already is as good as the kids who have been playing for a few years. She even offered to play goal this weekend and saved a few shots. She almost scored too...her kick needs a little more power and then she'll have it. Mike and I struggle with the fact that girls' soccer is on Sunday mornings. It was a logical choice for our family as Mike loves the sport and is able to help coach. We have made really great connections and friendships with the parents on Chelsea's team. It is such a great group of really down to earth people who seem so open to talk about all kinds of things. So, we will try it out this year and see how it goes. When the schedules permit, we'll take in Sunday School. If not, we'll check out a local Saturday night service. It's not an option for us to miss church altogether, so we're going to explore our options this year and see how it goes. Fortunately, the older they get, the later on Sunday they play.
It was a beautiful sunny day to watch so I took some pictures because I know those rainy grey days will come....
