Seven

Today Chelsea is seven years old. It's hard to believe my "little one", as we call her, could be seven already. Six was a year of growth for her. She gained so much confidence in grade 1, made so many new friends and acquired some new skills. Six was the year she learned to ride a two wheeler confidently. Six was the year she decided she could swim and passed her level. Yes....six was a pretty good year.

Today she is 7 and that just sounds so much older to me. It's sad on one hand but I'm happy she is growing into a delightful personality. She is able to tell and take jokes now....that took a little working on....especially the taking part. She expresses herself so much more. I remember when she was 3 and I was concerned about her stuttering....now she can tell stories and relate incidents without a pause! She loves fashion and clothes...the more glitter, the better for her!

Her teacher told us at Open House that she is an excellent listener. She was telling us that she had given the kids some instructions about what to do once they got outside. Some time had passed and everyone had forgotten except Chelsea who was sitting in the exact spot the teacher had told her to....all by herself!! She laughed and said she would rely on Chelsea to help her remember what instructions she gave!

Anyhow, my little golden dragon is seven today. We are going to Highland Dance class, then off to soccer pictures. Tonight we are celebrating with family.

Happy Birthday Chelsea.
