Tis the Season....

....yes, it's that joyous time of the year again...the time that precedes Christmas joy for those of us in the teaching profession....REPORT CARDS!!!! Aaaahh! I think it's almost pushing me over the edge of sanity. My regular life has a very fine balance of work, being a mom, driving to kids' activities, cooking, cleaning....you know. Oh, it's so interesting to see the balance upset when report cards get added to the pile. Actually, the government has mandated a new report card, so the learning curve is a bit steep. Thankfully one of the teachers one our staff worked with the template so it's going to be a lot easier for all of us. Anyhow, on with the assessing, gathering data and reporting. Then...I can think about Christmas.

Good luck, Heather. I'll be happy for you when you get to totally focus on Christmas... I think you must be a great teacher and are a wonderful blessing to your students! I think of all the teachers I had who went above and beyond and changed my life for the better... knowing you, I bet you're that kind of teacher too - God bless you!

I'm with you sister! Talk of report cards today in staff meeting made me feel just weary! It is so wrong that the Christmas season sort of starts with the pain of report cards.

But just think - FREEDOM is around the corner. Keep at it. This too shall pass!

I'm praying for you Heather! I can see how this must be a very hectic time for you! Once all the hubub is over, we should get together to catch up! It's been a while!
