Time Out...

Tonight we skipped out. Mike and I were scheduled to attend his work party and we just didn't go! We have been so busy lately. Last night Mike went to his department party at a colleague's house so he had already seen people from work this weekend. I was feeling really tired and not in favour of making small talk all night. Although, I would have gone if he wanted to go. We just decided this afternoon that we needed a rest. Mike's parents were already willing to babysit, so we dropped the kids off and went to the mall. We had a great time together eating Japanese food at the food fair, browsing and actually each buying a new sweater. Then we went to Starbucks and had a peppermint white chocolate mocha...half sweet. I would recommend it highly! It was so nice to just be together and chat with no real agenda or schedule.

We have a really busy week coming up with Christmas concerts....the girls are on separate nights this year and then Maddie and I are involved in the church dessert theatre nights. I have a ton of work to do this week at school to get ready for our concert the following week. Having said all that, it was a good chance to take a little time and just "chill" before the fun begins.
