Geronimo Saves the Day!

We've found a new hero in our midst. He's a small mouse by the name of Geronimo Stilton. He made his way into Chelsea's heart via a library book. Chelsea is a great reader but she has never just "loved" to read like her big sister. She's a visual learner for sure. She loves non-fiction and enjoys studying diagrams. She doesn't get through any reading fast, because she has to study each picture so carefully. She tells me she solves math problems by imagining dice in her head...you see what I mean by "visual".

Anyhow, back to Geronimo. The Geronimo Stilton books were made for Chelsea. The chapters are short and full of action. Each page has great little illustrations and some of the words are illustrated to show their meaning. There are even diagrams and little maps all over. I've really never seen her so excited about a book! She was trying hard to love the Fairy books, but they just didn't hold her attention unless I read them to her. She loves animals too, so just the fact that the characters in the story are mice is a bonus.

Geronimo Stilton....isn't that a great name?

What a coincidence! Hailee loved those books too! Actually, I just mentioned that Chelsea likes them to her and she suggested handing down all of her old ones... is Chelsea interested? Hailee has a bunch!

She would love that! We can hand them back when Maegan is ready.
