Happy 2008

The New Year is here! 2007 was a good year for us with many learning and growing opportunities. Last night as a family we sat down and wrote three great memories or new things we accomplished during 2007. We wrote them on coloured paper circles (Bonnie, you know what those were left over from, I bet) and I placed them on our tree. Then each of us wrote a resolution or a goal from 2008 and sealed it in an envelope. We placed them on the tree too. Finally, we wrote down a habit or something we want to stop doing in 2008. These were private, so we folded them in half and put them in the paper shredder as a symbol. A fireplace would have been more dramatic, but we only have the gas variety! It was a neat way to reflect and look forward as a family.

Mike bought "Twister Dance Moves" yesterday at the grocery store for half price so we broke it out and tried it with the girls last night too! I made them Shirley Temples and by 10:00 we were pretty much all ready for bed! Mike and I tried to stay up to watch the Times Square festivities on TV, but by 11:30 we were falling asleep!! I fell asleep, but then woke up to the neighbour "tweens" marching around the block with their noisemakers and pots and pans.

It's a nice, crisp morning, so we're off, after breakfast for a family walk.
Happy 2008!!
