Tuesday was a good day...
I enjoyed teaching
Lights went on
Little milestones
Connections made
Relationships built
I stayed in at lunch today
Work to do, but it was an inside day
I told the kids...
I'm not here.
But it doesn't work.
Mrs. D..., Mrs. D...
They still need me for things
Like taping ripped projects
Finding missing puzzle pieces
Solving problems
It was Okay
I didn't get much done and I didn't
get my staff room conversations
But it was good after all.
Hugs at the end of the day,
More pictures and glued projects
to hang behind my desk
Telling a dad how much progress his
little girl is making
He grins and says they are reading every day
Teamwork...home and school...it works.
3:00...the room is finally quiet
I organize the piles on my desk
Tuesday was good.

Aw, that was really cute Heather! You really seem to have such a passion about your job, I admire that so much! It's very refreshing to see someone find so much joy and happiness from what they do, often you hear people complaining about their work, their boss, their co-workers... but you seem to really embrace it all and find the little things to smile at! I love that! Thanks for inspiring me today!
