Sick House

Amazing what a little virus can do. Maddie was knocked out early Thursday morning by some kind of stomach flu. Fortunately, it was fierce but fast and she was recovered by evening. Good thing, since she was scheduled to play at the music festival Friday morning. She pulled it off and got a "silver". Friday evening, my throat started to tickle and today, well, it's a fully developed sinus cold...fun. Mike was next, being knocked down today by the same stomach virus Maddie had. He's been in bed pretty much all day. Chelsea is next, I believe, since she suggested she go to bed early tonight....very strange behaviour. She also said her stomach didn't feel "quite right".

So, we'll see what the morning brings. We did so well this winter, but the spring bugs are really making us pay!

It was such a nice sunny day and we had such plans for the yard, but they will have to wait. I actually opened the shed door, looked at the lawn mower, and shut it again. I didn't quite have the energy to take it on.

It's 8:30 and the house is quiet. Everyone is sleeping. Wouldn't it be nice if I didn't feel like my head was going to explode? I would actually have the whole evening to myself. The only thing I have planned is a hot bath and an early bed. Such excitement!
