Pipes, Kilts and A Chilly North Wind....

...were part of today's adventures at the girls' first Highland Dance Competition in South Delta. They danced in the morning and it was absolutely freezing!! They weren't cold, but we, the spectators, were! It did warm up after the clouds parted. We had a really good time. I had warned them they may not place today as it was their first year. They both ended up with medals...Chelsea, 5th and 6th for fling and sword and Maddie 5th for fling.

I was really proud of them. Most of all, they had fun. Now, if only I could get the bagpipe music out of my head!!!

Aww! That's so cute, and so cool too that they took Highland Dance! :) Great shots, by the way!

Great job, girls! And I love bagpipe music... it reminds me of home... and Jamie Fraser in the Outlander novels... oh, happy thoughts!

Way to go Maddie and Chelsea!!

Marin would have like the bagpipes, she has been talking about them ever since Ian's graduation.
