Gotta Love Imagination

At 9 and 7, I'm so thankful the girls still use lots of imagination in their play. This morning started off with a re-enactment of "What Not to Wear". Yes, it's true. The girls and I have become TLC junkies this summer. John and Kate, Little People, Big World, What Not to Wear, Ten Years Younger....we love to watch them together. Anyhow, this morning the girls decided to "play" it. Chelsea dressed in an oversized T and sweats while Maddie criticized her look. Then the makeover began. It included hair, makeup and several outfit changes. I was treated to a fashion show at the end. This afternoon they are playing with two neighbourhood children, both going into kindergarten. They are hosting auditions for Hannah Montana backup singers and dancers. They took out the CD and the boom box and are using the neighbour's porch as a stage. I am just cracking up watching this all unfold while I clean the van. It's certainly better than hearing the "I'm bored" chorus!

Very cute. Might want to set some boundaries though - before "What not to wear" enacts one day as you are about to go out somewhere!! I don't get TLC at home - at least I don't think I do...But I've caught some shows while here in Hawaii. Not sure if I like the way K treats J on that show but what they manage is truly amazing. I get tired just watching that family! I have also definitely seen enough Hannah Montana now! My VP's daughter adores her as well. Sounds like you are having a great summer, but the "topping on the sundae" will defnitely be Hawaii! My mom and dad are coming this week. You too will love it!!
