One of the blessings I'm thankful for is the neighbourhood we live in. Funny, it wasn't our first choice and I couldn't understand why things didn't work out when we were trying to sell our townhouse 8 years ago. Things just fell into place for us to buy this house and I really felt God's leading in it all. We had prayed about our decision and definitely saw doors close and open. Our neighbours are just the best...not too nosey, but there when you need them. The kids all play together and everyone looks out for everyone else's kids. Tonight, Mike is repairing some lawn damage with topsoil and seed. I looked out and one neighbour comes by with extra lawn seed he had bought earlier. When I looked out again, another neighbour is over helping Mike out with the job.
Another neat thing that happened was that the neighbour we brought to camp asked to pray to be on "God's Team"...that was the language that was used at camp. She did this on the last night of camp, totally taking the initiative and going to her cabin leader. Wow! I'm hoping to bring her to church events here and there and certainly to invite her back to camp next year.
So, it's good to look back and be thankful for God's leading. I was sure I wanted the first house we bid on eight years ago. God knew what He was doing....doesn't He always?
