"Clothes make the woman" is what keeps going through my head today...I think the actual quote is "clothes make the man", but today, girl, clothes make the woman. I bought some new clothes...wow! what a long overdue venture. I was really stuck in the mom rut...making do with stuff that doesn't really do me any justice with the pious attitude that I was saving money. Well, maybe I did save some cash, but I was feeling kind of down. Today, I had some kid free time so I went to the store and bought a nice striped blouse, a reddish turtleneck sweater, a black crocheted poncho and some black boots... all that for a mere $159. I came home, put them on and I look pretty good! I haven't thought that in a long time. This all sounds really materialistic and very unspiritual, but truly, there is something about feeling good about how I look that connects with an attitude inside me. I can't wait to show Mike and the girls.
