Bacon n' Eggs

Tonight is a bacon and eggs night. It's what I do when I can't think of what to make. It usually happens Tuesday night after my two long days at work. When I come home I stare into the fridge, stare into the pantry and wonder what I can possibly whip up in a 1/2 hour. Meanwhile I'm stuffing myself with crackers, cheese and any other readily available food because I'm starving! Then, I really don't feel like cooking, cause, hey, I'm full now. So the turkey bacon is sizzling and I'm getting ready to scramble eggs. I'm actually feeling melancholy today. Today we registered our little Chelsea for kindergarten. It's official, she's going in September. I was wishing today she was born in December - then I would hold her back another year. But no, she's ready and she's going. My baby years are over. Last night we even talked about making it final. Of course, that's Mike's job now! I'm happy about that. I'm ready to move on into the next phase. I'm loving the whole school age thing with Maddie. I love seeing her learn and try new things. I love teaching and I'll be happy when the time comes to go back to it more. Yes, as I eat my bacon and eggs tonight I'll be looking at my girls, especially my little Chelsea and thanking God for such precious gifts...so precious because they are only mine for a little while.
