It's official.....

....it's official. We're now a minivan family. Yesterday we purchased a 2001 Mazda MPV. It's a nice model - an LX - with all the extra features. It was well looked after and doesn't have too many kms on it. We looked at new vehicles but decided we couldn't justify spending twice as much. We've always had good success with used vehicles so I hope this one continues in the same trend. When we told the salesman how long we keep our cars, he laughed and said we are his worst nightmare!! We seriously considered the new Mazda 5...a mini SUV/type minivan/staion wagon vehicle. It just came out in June. But when we test drove it and sat in it we decided the third row of seating was too tight to be of much use. I wish we had liked it because I love the concept but I think we made the right decision. The MPV has lots of room for us and the dog. We pick it up Tuesday night. Needless to say, I'm very excited.
