My girls have been using such grown up speech lately (no, they're not cursing.....not that kind!) I guess it's the sophistication of a six and a half year old and an almost five year old! Ha! Today when I was describing a movie, Chelsea casually asks from the back seat of the van, "Mom, was it animated?" Animated? - I didn't know she knew that word!
Madeleine informed me the other day that she was really impressed by the detail in Miniature World in Victoria. Impressed by the detail???? What kind of six year old talks like that.....sounds exactly like Mike!
Tonight as they romped through the sprinkler, I was reminded that they are pretty little and fairly unsophisticated really....the language bellowing through the neighbourhood went something like this...."I like my bum bum....shake my bum bum......peals of laughter.........Look, I'm peeing on the sprinkler......." As I finished up the dished, I laughed and smiled to myself......Oh, good, they haven't grown up quite yet!
