Yesterday I spent the day at school. The floors are newly waxed and shiny. Everything is clean and hopeful looking. Debi and I set up the classroom and we are quite pleased with how it looks. We got a new computer table and we painted our reading hut. I photocopied a ton of stuff. We got a new copier so we madly copied before our codes get programmed!!
We've had 5 new babies at our school between May and July so it will be fun to go back and hear all about them. I think we'll have a big shower in the fall.
On a sadder note, one of our teacher's husbands was diagnosed this summer with a very rare form of cancer. They were removing his spleen due to some health concerns and discovered it. I think there are only 22 cases in Canada (or maybe even North America) I'm not sure now. I feel so bad for them. They have been married 2 years and have gone through two tubal pregnancies....now this.
As the days get closer, more and more of us will trickle in and stories of summer will abound. Classes will begin and soon we'll feel as though we never left!
