We found a new favourite camping spot this weekend. Porpoise Bay is a wonderful family oriented campsite. The sites are very private and the amenities are clean and kept up. The beach is sandy and really scenic. We were kind of disappointed to see the no dogs sign at the beach as we take Bella camping with us. However, when we went down to the beach there were about 10 - 15 dogs there and nobody seemed to care. It was very against my nature as I am a strict sign follower, unlike my husband who assesses the situation and then decides whether the sign applies! It's an interesting point in our married life....the conversations, on my end go like this......"honey, it says dogs must be on leash......"Mike, it says stay on the trail....Didn't you see the sign? Anyway, I digress....
On Saturday we went to the Sechelt Farmer's market and had a great time roaming the booths. There was lots of unique jewellery and great crafts and artwork. I bought some things at the glass blower's booth and a beaded necklace for myself
The weather was perfect and we had a great time just camping and being together as a family. Chelsea is getting better at being in the great outdoors. Fortunately our site was right by the "flushies". Her only comment this time was that she didn't like eating outside because what if a bug went in your food and you didn't see it. We slept soundly in our little four person tent....very cozy. The animal noises at night were quite something. Everytime I awoke I heard weird bird calls. I think they were either owls or eagles.
Once again, it was a little too short when Sunday morning rolled around and we had to pack up and leave. We're getting pretty good at packing up quickly!
I'll post some pictures when I get a chance.
