Lately....

Well, it's Friday and that means I have a few minutes to breathe....aaahhhh..Life has been crazy these days. I think because our weekends have been busy I feel like I haven't had a break in weeks. School is always really hectic this time of year. There's so much to finish and less than 2 months to do it in. On top of that, we've been making papier mache fairy tale puppets and clay mother's day gifts. It's all fun and exciting for the kids but a little exhausting for us! Anyway, the end is in sight and I'm really excited for the summer. We don't have any concrete plans besides a family wedding/reunion in July, but I'll be so happy for a break from schedules!

We're finished soccer and into field hockey now. Maddie is really enjoying the sport. It is nice that it's all girls and it seems like a really neat sport. She even volunteered to try out the goalie position. I was surprised but she said, "I just thought to myself....I should try it". I love her attitude toward trying new things....so unlike myself!!

Chelsea is finally getting comfortable with swimming...Yeah!! She can finally do a bob and some floats due to 5 private swim lessons. She just never progressed in the group lessons. I'll sign her up again in the summer, but for now, I'm going to take her weekly to practise her new skills. I just "love" (sarcasm, sarcasm) going to the pool but I'll do it for her!

Bella had a chocolate binging/purging episode this last weekend. She got into the chocolate chips and we were pretty much cleaning up chocolate vomit all night. Really lovely....times like this, I think....and why do we have a dog? Well, I guess because this morning as Chelsea hugs the dog's neck she says...."I just love Bella so much."

The girls added two more pets to our house a couple weeks ago. They saved up enough to buy their very own betta fish. Unfortunately, they both died within 48 hours due to the fact that the person at Petland told us they are very "hardy". So, not being experienced with fish, we pretty much dumped them into their respective bowls without acclimatizing them. We went to exercise our 60 day replacement guarantee and the new additions are doing well. The only problem is that they don't seem to eat. I think I may have to buy a different food. We'll see.

Well, I have a long list to accomplish today so I'd better get at it!
