My class last year pooled together and got us a night there. One of our students' mom is a group sales manager for the Delta Sun Peaks. We added a night and made it a weekend. So, after dropping the kids off to school Friday we headed up. The drive up was beautiful. It was a great time to chat and catch up on life without the kids in the back chatting away! The Delta up there is just beautiful and because it is the shoulder season, the place was really dead on Saturday. That is, until the tour buses started to arrive later in the afternoon. Anyhow, we enjoyed having the pool and hot tubs pretty much to ourselves!

We hiked around on Saturday morning and of course, sampled the restaurants around the village. We saw a coyote, some cool birds and some deer.

We had great weather. It was great to just relax and rest. I polished off a novel and pretty much the entire Saturday edition of the Globe and Mail. We ate some great food as well. Now, it's Monday and back to routine. I feel like I can take on this last month of school now....bring it on!
