West Coast Winds

Is this a new phenomenen or something? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't remember being pounded by crazy winds every November for as long as I've lived here. Last night the howling started and I awoke at 4 am to the house and windows creaking and moaning. Fortunately, our power has remained intact. Poor Maddie has a soccer tournament today. I think maybe the rains have stopped. I dressed her in several layers, hoping to at least keep her warm, if not dry. She is such a trooper....still anxious to go and talking about scoring a goal while she ate her breakfast. I was hoping it would be canceled! Chelsea and I will head over later to watch her second and third game. Soccer here on the "wet coast" is certainly not for the faint of heart!
