...I can't bear to cook tonight, so Mike is bringing home Japanese...yeah!! I've been really tired this week. Last night I went to bed at 8 and still had trouble getting up at 6! I'm hoping it's just last weekend's whirlwind, topped off with report cards and not some illness brewing!
My new little student is quite endearing. She's so tiny, the kids treat her like a little buddy. I must remind them she is the same age as them! She's so low though. We have our work cut out for us. Today I realized she doesn't even know her numbers past 10. She also needs to see the SLP. Her mom told me she just started seeing one at her former school a couple weeks ago. Aaarghhhh!!! If they had just moved her to the English program at her former school, instead of pulling her out and driving her up to ours, she would still be getting speech. But now, I have to start the process all over. Can you sense my frustration! On a positive note, my reports are done, signed and sealed....ready to be delivered next week!
Anyway, tomorrow I am going to a math workshop in the afternoon, so that will be a nice little break. I'm looking forward to it.
Mike is going to be off to Japan and England in the next little while. Am I looking forward to parenting solo again? No. It may be two separate trips or one all together. I don't know which I'd prefer.
Anyway, tonight I'm going to enjoy my california rolls and perhaps get out for a walk with my dog and my ipod!
