This year is going by so incredibly fast. I cannot believe it is spring break. Today we had a slow start to our vacation. I made pancakes with berries on top for breakfast. Typically, I make my dad's famous pancakes. If I don't have all the ingredients or I'm in a hurry, I use a mix. I'm not too keen on the mixes, but I've now found one I really like. It's "Sunny Boy" wholegrain pancake mix. It is full of good stuff and makes really tasty wholegrain pancakes. Anyway, we had a nice breakfast together and then literally laid around in our pjs and watched a movie. I felt only slightly guilty!
We all needed an outing, so we took advantage of our Entertainment book...our free Entertainment book thanks to my friend, Heather (who is Argentina bound at the moment!) and went to see the CN IMAX 3D ocean film narrated by Jim Carrey. It's a really colourful and educational film. I'm always amazed that there is more to discover in the ocean. There are such weird creatures down in the depths! The kids and I were most intrigued by the "sea dragon"...kind of like a sea horse, but very dragon-like. God is so creative!
Then we scoured the book for a good dinner pick. Las Margaritas fit the bill, so we went Mexican. It was fun atmosphere and good food. Now we're home and back into pajamas listening to the rain outside.
We don't have big plans for this week. We are going to do a little shopping, a little spring cleaning, a little crafting and a lot of relaxing, hopefully!
